A simple rhythm for Bible time that can survive real family life.
Story Block
Activity Block
Choose a rhythm that fits the moment.
5-minute bedtime flow
Choose one cube, retell the six scenes, ask one wondering question, and close with a one-sentence prayer. Keep it calm and repeat the same story for several nights.
15-minute family worship flow
Read the passage, let each child hold a side, retell the story together, choose one activity cube prompt, sing a short song, and pray for one concrete response.
Weekly rhythm
Introduce the story on Sunday, retell it at bedtime twice, add a reflect activity midweek, and let a child teach the story back to the family by the weekend.
Using Bible Blocks with preschoolers
Use short phrases, movement, and repetition. Preschoolers do not need every detail; they need a clear story shape and a chance to participate.
Using Bible Blocks with older kids
Ask deeper character questions, compare Gospel details, look up the passage, and invite older children to lead younger siblings through the cube.
What to do when kids are distracted
Shorten the moment, hand them a cube, ask them to find one scene, and end with grace. A faithful five minutes is better than forcing a long lesson.
