A Son Is Promised

One day, Zechariah was serving in the temple when an angel appeared beside the altar.
Side 3
He was afraid. The angel said, "Don't be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard." Elizabeth would have a son named John.
Side 4
John would prepare people for the Lord. Zechariah asked how he could be sure, because he and Elizabeth were old.
Side 5
Because he did not believe the angel's words, Zechariah could not speak.
Side 6
Afterward, Elizabeth became pregnant, just as the angel had promised.
